About Theatre at the Colony- Reimagined

TUCKER YOUNG
DIRECTOR

Originally from Wall, Texas. Mr. Young quickly found a passion, and love for Theatre. Knowing teaching was his calling, Mr. Young attended Texas Tech University to obtain his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Secondary Education. After graduation, Mr. Young relocated to Breckenridge where he taught for two years. In his two years there, he qualified students for Regionals in UIL Prose and Poetry, and State One Act Play in 2023. He then relocated to The Colony to begin his time as the Head Director at TCHS. Mr. Young is committed to his advocacy for the arts and making them accessible and enjoyable to each and every student. 


Lisa Tabor
DIRECTOR

Miss Tabor graduated from Baylor University with a BFA in Acting. After several years as an Administrative Assistant and Drama Director at Calvary Temple Church, she attended the University of North Texas where she received her teaching certification. Miss Tabor then began her career as a theatre teacher at Coppell High School where she worked for 19 years.

The last 10 of those years, Miss Tabor served as the Theatre Lead for the High School and the District taking the department from 250 to 450 students.  The Coppell High School Theatre Department won numerous awards under her direction in both the UIL One Act Play Contest and the High School Musical Theatre Awards. Three CHS students went on to participate in the Jimmy Awards in New York City with one placing second and another winning the Rising Junior Star Scholarship. 

Miss Tabor loves dogs and just recently moved back to Texas after spending two years in Colorado.  She is excited to be at The Colony High School and can’t wait to make new memories with the TATC students.


Michael Anderson
Technical Director

Mr. Michael Anderson joins The Colony High School as Technical Director. He  comes to us from Lovejoy High School where he technical directed 9 shows last year. Previously he had been working as a Jiu Jitsu Coach for 3 years and has over 10 years of audio/visual install experience, developing construction and programming skills. He is excited to share his love and appreciation for Theatre Arts. 

Mr. Anderson’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts from New Mexico State University. This includes a study abroad stint in London, England. He is a bit of a dramaturg and has experience as an actor, props master, and makeup artist for various plays. Productions he has been a part of include Christmas Carol, Seussical The Musical, The Complete History of America (Abridged), The Complete History of Las Cruces (Abridged), The Nature of Mutation, The Pillowman, Betrayal, Dracula, The Persephone Clause, and most recently Let The Right One In. 

Mr. Anderson lives in The Colony with his wife Adriane and their pets, Gracie(dog) and Brian(cat). He loves spending time training Jiu Jitsu, playing video games, making art, and reading plays. Some of his favorite playwrights include Neil Simon, Eugene O’Neal, Arthur Miller, Lorraine Hansberry, Anton Chekov, Martin McDonagh,  and Susan Glaspell.


  • Currently we have over 130 students involved in TATC, and that number continues to grow.

  • We perform one major musical each year in the Fall.

  • We perform a Fall Play, in our new state of the art TCHS Black Box.

  • In addition to the Main Stage musical production and Black Box play, we perform a Christmas show in December, Christmas Comes to The Colony.   

  • Last but not least, (and a process our directors absolutely love) is our UIL One-Act Play in the Spring.

  • In addition to being very impressed by the students’ performance, judges and others at the competitions comment on how supportive our students are of each other, and what great kids they are. 

  • Our audiences for each show continue to grow, and are generally at least 2,500-3,000.  

  • Getting involved with Theatre at The Colony- Reimagined is a great experience that will cause students to grow in character and disciplines that give them life skills and great memories to last a lifetime.
